T4085: Add support for pkg-config:

  • My attempt is somehow successful. It does achieve:
    • It separates data out from program
      • introducing no more dependency. Just use shell and expr
    • It can support application program using GPGME by pkg-config (in future)
    • It can keep our *-config close to pkg-config
    • Because it depends on shell implementation, I wonder if it works well on HP-UX, AIX, and Solaris.
      • Still, it conservatively installs old implementation when it finds difference of output.
    • In future, we can take advantage of new way of invocation with multiple modules like:
gpg-error-config gpg-error '>=' 1.33 libgcrypt '>=' 1.9.5 libassuan '>=' 2.5.1
  • Sorry for many commit logs. My experiment with shell was by trial-and-error.

Last week:

  • Several smaller issues, some related to performance in GpgOL. Was hoping to reduce crashes by reducing load to COM. Didn't work but the performance improvements are good anyway.
  • Tried to handle OpenPGP/Inline inside of S/MIME mails in GpgOL. Didn't work well.
  • Gpg4win 3.1.3 release

This week:
Not totally sure yet. Maybe look into Address book integration for GpgOL.
I would like to move forward with TOFU deployment.
