Kleopatra 3.1.16 / Keyservers related functions are not working
Closed, WontfixPublic

Description

Hi all,

I am experiencing some issues with Kleopatra:

Kleopatra Key Search does not return any information at all.

Kleopatra OpenPGP certificate update function responds:
C:\Program Files (x86)\GnuPG\bin\gpg.exe --refresh-keys gestartet ...
gpg: 7 Schl├╝ssel werden per hkps://keyserver.ubuntu.com aktualisiert
gpg: Refresh vom Schl├╝sselserver fehlgeschlagen: Zertifikat abgelaufen

Key upload responds with a similar error (...Zertifikat abgelaufen)

Kleopatra self diagnostic function does not report any issues.
Keyserver used: hkps://keyserver.ubuntu.com but no change in performance with other servers.

Everything else seems to work. Outlook implementation is working fine.
I am able to send/encrypt/receive/decrypt but only with locally stored/imported keys.
The Keys work fine on another Win10 PC with exactly the same Kleopatra setup.

Thanks in advance for any help !

Install GnuPG 2.2.32 on top of Gpg4win 3.1.16 to fix the problem.

THX for the quick reply Ingo...

The installation of GnuPG 2.3.32 did not change anything. Still no server functions working...

Let me add that the PC on which I am having the issues described had an old (2018) Version of Kleopatra/GnuPG installed on top which I upgraded with 3.1.16
The PC which is running without any issues was a clean install.

HannesESS changed the task status from Duplicate to Wontfix.Nov 4 2021, 11:49 AM

I did a complete reinstall after cleaning out the complete system incl. registry.
No change in behavior of Gpg4win.

Any ideas ???

I suppose you have rebooted the PC after installing GnuPG 2.3.32. Just to make sure. And double check that there is only one dirmngr.exe with version 2.2.32 installed on your system.

You may have to remove some certificates manually. See T5639 for details.
