Noteworthy changes in version 2.2.46 (2025-01-07)

Note that the 2.2 series of GnuPG reached end-of-life on 2024-12-31
and no further updates will be released to the public. However,
customers of g10 Code with extended long term support contracts will
still be served with updates if necessary. Everyone else please
switch to gnupg24. For end of life statements see
https://gnupg.org/download/index.html#end-of-life .

  • gpg: Add the AEAD algo number to the DECRYPTION_INFO status line. [T7398]
  • gpgtar: Make sure to create upper directories for regular files. [T7380]
  • gpg: Allow the use of an ADSK subkey as ADSK subkey. [T6882]
  • agent: Fix status output for LISTTRUSTED. [T7363]

will you tag 2.2.46 in git as well? it appears to be on rG7e48331afb611a2b39e5ae74b8806b84e54db924 but i don't see any tags.

i see the tag has been published now, thanks! Given that this is an ELTS release, I'm assuming that the lack of a gnupg-2.2.46.tar.bz2 file on https://gnupg.org/ftp/gcrypt/gnupg/ is deliberate.
