Okay - So I installed as you specified. Upon running and creating the key and backup of the
key I had another error that called my VS debugger. I'm not very current on assembler so I have
attached the output trace in a text file.

Well that is gpg4win ;-).

2.0.12 has been released. Patch for 1.4.9 is available.

Well, I have no more excuses at hand to actually look at the problem ;-).
well. I tried.
See the INSTALL file for another way to share defaults (section "Sharing Defaults").
No. CFLAGS is used to override default flags. It might be that in a BSD system
CFLAGS can be used in the way you describe it; with the GNU system this is not
the case.
However, if CFLAGS is set in the environment previously, configure will fail.
This is especially inconveniently for those who set CFLAGS in bashrc etc and
those who uses source-based package manager doing this.
Setting CFLAGS as an environment variable should be universally correct,
shouldn't it?

The file INSTALL tells how to do this correctly:

Thanks Moritz. I'm happy to try this out, but I'd need a binary if possible...

I commited a patch to the trunk version in SVN, which needs testing. jonomcc:
could you try the SVN version? In case you don't have a build environment set
up, we can probably provide a binary snapshot.

Moritz, can you please check this. The message is only shown in non-advanced mode.

According to the manual and also by a quick look at the code of
g_file_get_contents(), which is called before g_utf8_validate, it should never
return TRUE and store NULL at content. Thus I can't figure the real reason for
this by only looking at the code. Needs more debugging.

There is a bug in gpg4win 1.1.4: The installer does not force the installation
of gnupg2 which is now a requirement for GPA.

Right, this is the second point in T950. I am closing this request therefore.

Done, thanks for your help.
Could be the installation to H. In the last 2.5 years we fixed many bugs that
could have caused this. We should test this with current versions and close if
not reproducible.
With current SVN you get at least a proper error message. Could be done better,
though: We should probably have only one button for verify+decrypt that does
always the right thing.
This is a good feature request, but it requires some coding to make it work. I
think that this should be done via a context popup menu on the keylisting
entries (in addition to a menu entry).
Fixed now.
It might be better to chage it to just "import keys from file".
I think this is fixed with the latest GPA version. Marcus do you know?

I can not reproduce this. The file downloads and unpacks fine for me. I get a
different md5sum, too: 8ee26d7fe829e81eb8bce2d974a7c500 gpa-0.7.6.tar.bz2

I put the new fr.po into SVN. Thanks for all your work! Marcus
I put the changes in SVN. The POTFILES.in changes seem already to be in there.
I also put a translation domain for the action group in recipientdlg.c. I hope
that's allright.
I put it in SVN. Thanks for your help!
Thanks, I put the version in #975 into SVN.

Note that there is another fr.po update as T975.
