Description

From Kleopatra's or a GUI Perspective it would be really nice to have a sign /
Encrypt for files combined in gpgsm as this avoids problems creating dialogs or
transparently handling PGP / CMS Encryption.

GpgSM says:
gpgsm -se
"gpgsm: this command has not yet been implemented"

From the "yet" I take hope :-)

One problem I see is that S/MIME doesn't standardize sign+encrypt, but requires nesting of those operations, leaving it up to the implementor to pick the order etc. From an interoperability point of view, this seems like a world of hurt if you take this out of the context of MIME.
