Able to encrypt large files but UNABLE to decrypt large files
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Environment

Linux Machine with Unix

Description

Several files on our Linux box where compressed and then encrypted using gpg. Some of those files were large, 5.6 GB and 24 GB. After the final encryption the box was sent to an outside vendor so that they could decrypt, uncompress the data, and move it into their environment. They have been able to decrypt and uncompress all the data except the 2 larger files. They CAN NOT decrypt those 2 files. WE NEED TO FIND A WAY TO DECRYPT THOSE 2 FILES. ACCESS TO THE ORIGINAL DATA IS UNAVAILABLE.

PLEASE HELP.
Thanks,

Please tell more information about this problem. What we need to know first of all are the version go gnupg used for encryption and decryption.

Feel free to take this to gnupg-hackers at gnupg.org if you don't want this information to be public.
