It might be an improvement to deploy profiles like the VS-NfD profile through Kleopatra.

e.g. an entry in the system wide configuration of Kleoptra like

profile[$i]=VS-NfD

Which would then trigger a gpgconf --apply-profile on each startup of Kleopatra.
