IDEA download site is down
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Release: N/A

Environment

Web site

Description

On www.gnupg.org, the "Why Not IDEA" page contains an FTP link to download file "idea.c.gz". This link does not work -- it appears the site is down. I checked the mirrors; all seem to point to the same site so all are affected.

How To Repeat

Either 1) Go to http://www.gnupg.org, click link for "not use the patented IDEA" which opens a web page "Why not IDEA". It has a link for a file "idea.c.gz". Click it.

Or 2) Go directly to the link:
ftp://ftp.gnupg.dk/pub/contrib-dk/idea.c.gz

Understood. We did find the module elsewhere so we are okay.

Just out of curiosity, though, how would we reach the maintainer of that
FTP server? Since it's down, we can't go to it and look for contact
information.

ftpmaster might work. AFAIK, his personal address is
kenneth at reinhardt.dk
