Kleopatra unable to import public key
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When trying to import a public key from the Keyserver with Kleopatra, it does not process any key. However when requesting the same key via cmd, it successfully imports the key and it immediately shows up in Kleopatra aswell (even if running).
Tried several different networks including mobile data which did not have an impact.

Keyserver issues are always hard to analyze because the state of the servers and which server you get is always a factor.

On the command line you explicitly specify the ubuntu keyserver. Can you please configure that same keyserver in Kleopatra and try again?

Just so that we can rule out a problem with the keyserver.

Kleopatra was already using this keyserver at the time i took the screenshots, which is why i opened the ticket since it was working in the command line.

Good morning.

I'm facing the same problem since long time ago. When I press the Kleopatra button "Look up on server", is not possible find the keys. But Kleopatra can export to the sks keyserver.

If anyone could help me...

Thank you.
Have a nice day.

Gpg4win 4.4.0 has just been released. I cannot reproduce unexpected results when doing a lookup on server. Unfortunately, many keyservers do not publish the user IDs (i.e. name and/or email address) anymore. Kleopatra does not list results without user IDs because GnuPG won't import them anyway.

If you should still experience this problem with Gpg4win 4.4.0 then reopen this ticket.
