Importing key drops me into an infinite loop
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I'm trying to import a key using GPA, and it doesn't seem to work...

First, I start gpa. Since I don't have a ~/.gnupg/ folder, it asks me
if I want to make my own key now. I don't, so I click "Do it later".

Now I'm in GPA. I choose Keys -> Import Keys..., select the key.gpg
file I've saved, and click "OK".

It brings up an "Information" dialog that says "1 public keys read",
"1 public keys imported", and some other lines (4 more lines, they're
all 0). Clicking the "Close" button, or the close-box on the window,
don't do anything. Stuck!

If I kill the GPA program and try to start it again, I get the dialog
asking me if I want to create my own key once again, but this time,
clicking "Do it later" doesn't make the dialog go away. In fact, it's
impossible to make it go away: "Generate key now", "Do it later", and
the window's close-box don't do anything.

I can un-wedge it by killing it, "rm -rf ~/.gnupg/", and starting again.
This procedure is 100% repeatable.

I've tried it with a couple other public key files, both created by
GnuPG and by another program, and every one I've tried so far will
wedge GPA in this way. (If you can't make it fail, joeyh's public key
file (http://kitenet.net/~joey/ca/gpgkey.asc) is one of the files I
tried, and should do the trick.)

(Can you not import keys until you've generated your own key? I don't
know. But if you can't, it shouldn't appear to let me, only to fail.)
