Kleopatra: improve menu items
Open, NormalPublic

Description

relates to T7515

The menu is not structured logically. Please change the menu as follows:

  • Move Perform Self-Test from Settings to Tools. Position as the first action in this menu.
  • Move Configure Groups from Settings to Tools and rename it to Manage Groups
  • Move the whole View menu to before Settings
  • Move Details from View to Certificates
  • Move Notepad and Smartcards from View to Tools
  • Rename "Show GnuPG Configuration" (in /Tools/) to "GnuPG command line". (The first thing choosing that entry will currently automatically do is "Show GnuPG Configuration", but we might change that when we add additional commands and have it wait on a user choice before doing anything.)
  • Remove the "Window" menu. (It is not about windows, it is about tabs. And the actions there are all better accessible in the context of the tabs themselves.)
  • Remove Stop operation from View. Plus remove that operation and its shortcut ESC in general. Hint for testing: check Settings -> Configure toolbars
  • Remove Refresh S/MIME Certificates and Refresh OpenPGP Certificates. (Update Certificates covers those actions, too.)

There is no obvious logic behind the location of actions on/with certificates. Some are below "Files" and some below "Certificates". How can this be sorted in a comprehensible way? And without moving most actions to "Certificates", thereby making the menu item list too long? -> we leave this for now as is, as we see no better solution.
