Using Outlook 2007 (and I believe also Outlook 2003). Steps to reproduce:
- CHECK "Show HTML view if possible" option on the Tools | Options | GnuPG tab
in Outlook.
- UNCHECK "Reduce the file size of the message by removing formatting
information that is not necessary to display the e-mail message" on the Tools |
Options | Mail Format tab in Outlook. (** This step may not affect the bug but
at first it looked like a workaround, but ended up not helping.)
- Send an encrypted HTML format email to yourself.
- Double-click the received email to get it in its own window.
- Decrypt the email. Note that the HTML formatting is in place, as it should be.
- REPLY to the decrypted email. Note that the HTML of the original message
replied to is converted into raw HTML markup. This is the problem.
- CLOSE the decrypted mail window. Re-open the email, decrypt it, and repeat
step 6. Note that this time the original message retains its proper HTML markup.
Please help--thanks!
