Installer cannot display readme file upon installation (Windows Vista); outdated installer generator
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

At the end of the installation, there is a checkbox determining whether the
readme gets displayed. However, even if there is a check mark in the checkbox,
the readme isn't displayed under Windows Vista 32-bit (tested on the "Home
Premium" version).

To me, it seems the reason is that the NSIS installer generator used to make
the installer executable dates from before Windows Vista was released. It
reads "Nullsoft Install System 2.19-3", whereas the latest version is 2.34.

This is a know problem. The current directory seems to be wrong at the end of
the install run. I have not lloked at the file for a long time becuase the
suggested method to install gpg is by using gpg4win.

According to the changelog fixed on 2008-01-30 and thus released with 1.4.9.
