gnupg 1.4.8 fails to verify certain signatures

Description

There is a pgp signature on ripe.net:

https://www.ripe.net/projects/disi//keys/ripe-ncc-dnssec-keys-new.txt
https://www.ripe.net/projects/disi//keys/ripe-ncc-dnssec-keys-new.txt.asc

(this has apparently been made with gpg-1.4.1)

All versions of gpg i tried it with gave me a 'Good Signature', except gpg-1.4.8
(which is the current default on freebsd).

I have not been able to reproduce this problem with my own keys.

Not a bug in GnupG but on the creator's site. See
http://lists.gnupg.org/pipermail/gnupg-users/2005-January/024408.html for details.

As a workaround use --rfc2440-text which is not anymore the default since 1.4.8.
