Invalid Crypto Engine
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Hi,

Am using Terminal Services and have installed GPG4win on server as admin. This
is fine under administrator logon or any domain admins logons but domain users
are getting an invalid crypto error message everytime I choose the gpg.exe
after running the privacy tray.exe (winPT).

Rather than granting all our users admin rights(not an option), can anyone
suggest another way around this please?

It worked fine the 1st time we ran it on their workstation but as soon as they
logged off, and back on again, it is causing this error message.

Your replies would be appreciated.

Many Thanks.

Just to be sure: What version of gpg4win did you install?

Another suggestion is to run with GPGME_DEBUG=9 in a console and see what the
error reported by the engine is. Also, check if you can run gpg/gpgsm with the
intended operations on the command line.

This is way too old a report to act on it, so I close it. If you still have
issues with the latest gpg4win, please file a new report.
