Could --verify be quiet on success (by --quiet or verify-options)?
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

In http://bugs.debian.org/290980 it has been requested, that it should be
possible that gpg --verify is quiet on success. Would you think about adding a
new option to verify-options. Or would you support, that --quiet can quiet
--verify if the verification succeeded?

No, it can't be. The exit status is not sufficient to convey all required
information. IF you want that you need to use gpgv along with a keyring of
trusted keys.
