Recently installed v2.0.0 after uninstalling previous version.
Noticed that when opening non-encrypted attachments in outlook, it takes
approximately 1m50s to open a 30k spreadsheet, all the while Outlook appears to
be in a "Not responding" state until the attachment is open.
Running Outlook 2003 SP3

Are you using Kleopatra? If so, please try this:
- Stop Outlook and wait until it has really stopped (check the task list)
- Stop kleopatra (really, make sure it is not anymore in the task list)
- Open a command window
- Run the command "gpa --daemon" in that window.
- Fire up OL again and test again.
The user interface of GPA is different than that of Kleopatra, but you should
have no problems to understand it. Is decryption now faster?
Do you use a local mail account or an IMAP server?
Hi, thanks for the quick reply, I'm not using Kleopatra, I tried gnupg4win lite
and had the same issue.
The delay is not in encrypting, the delay is in opening ANY outlook attachment
(I havent even tried encrypted attachments yet).
Is it still worth trying your diagnostics even though I'm not using Kleopatra ?
Kind regards,
Matt.
Seams to be resolved with Gpg4win-2.0.1-RC1 (GpgOL 1.0.1-svn308). Needs more
tests of other users. Juicyfruits, can you test again?
Hi,
Retested using Gpg4win-2.0.1-RC1 (GpgOL 1.0.1-svn308)
Issue seems to be resolved in that non-encrypted attachments open in a
reasonable timeframe.
Thanks,
Juicefruits.
