GpgOL: Add draft encryption as an option.
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Moved out as a feature request from Ticket T4382

The original request was:

How can I protect my e-mail drafts when using GpgOL in outlook? Everytime I write an email, it is saved decrypted in the drafts folder till I send it. A solution would be to either disable the sync of the drafts folder or get gpgOL to protect them even before I send them. I couldnt find a solution on the internet, tell me if I missed one.

It is especially important for people who store their drafts on the Server and not locally.

Somehow I thought that storing drafts locally was not only configurable but the default. But you are right, I also can't find a way to change the storage location.

I don't have time to implement this for the next version as this is not trivial but I'll try to get it done for the Version after that.

Something to add: This also affects deleted drafts. If I write a new email and decide to delete & not send it, Outlook saves the aborted draft in the trash without encryption.

I still would like to test this some more and work on it. I think the implemnation might still be a bit fragile.

I'm moving this from testing to open again. Especially the deletion is an issue. I had a report that even for a sent mail Outlook.com also stores an unencrypted variant in the "Trash Bin".
