GpgOL: Sender name change not recognized for shared folder identities
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When group identities are used there are often the case that they share also a certificate for that group.

You can send in Outlook from a different address like "group-x@foo.bar", but GpgOL will use the Address of the Account that should be used for sending and not the Address selected in Outlook.

From the commit message:

The logic is now that when both sender and sendusingaccount are
found and look like smtp addresses (they don't start with a slash)
then we take the sender address if a key for that address can
be found. Otherwise we use the accounts address as before.

This is important for Institutions that have sender addresses
that differ from their accounts address.
