This here is resolved, for timegrids findings see other ticket, the issue is not related to the one from this ticket and no regression, as it turned out. And difficult to trigger.

And when I switch of read-as-plain, both testmails in the inbox are displayed as expected but one of the ones from the sent-folder has an empty body:

Does that mean that it is not possible to close the message automatically if changes are made in a) the text field or b) the encryption settings in the right pane?

Might there be a relation to T7842? But I would have thought that then all signed messages would be unaffected.

We need to check what the current status here is. This has been in the 5.0 Betas for a while, so testing with 5.0-Beta369 will work

additionally, the body of the messages is (in most cases) not shown any more.

With a GNUPG-Home on another Partition (on the VMs shared folder with the host) the auto refresh after deletion additionally doesn't work for public keys or S/MIME certificates.

With the beta-25 the body of the mail is not saved back to the server any more but the security level tags are. So the test mail still seems to be a signed and decrypted empty mail even if you deactivate gpgol.

We had considered and rejected adding below the above configuration a marked section (like e.g. with a frame) showing the options in the order they appear in the sign/encrypt window:

• Encrypt with password
