I don't see that as a bug. The created conf file depends on your local
installation and thus may or may not include a keyserver option.

note:
changing windows 7 to my Canadian locale solves the problem.

Could be a gpg-agent problem.
If I don't start a gpg-agent and run the export, it will work.
If I start a gpg-agent before, it won't work and pinentry will run amok.

This has already been fixed in the trunk. I just backported it to 1.4 and 2.0.
(svn rev 5361).

When GNOME a11y is enabled, every gtk2 application loads 2 dynamic modules (gail
and atk-bridge) that are initialized at gtk_init. These modules installs some
hooks to provide the at-spi with information about the widgets.
Sorry, I have no clue about GNOME a11y. Given that pinentry uses its own widget
it is likely that tools which take over the input run into problems. As a quick
workaround you may want to try "pinentry -g".

A better way to fix this is by looking at the output of gpgconf. Should not be
too hard to fix.
Sorry, without a detailed derror escription we can't help you. There are a
couple of known problems but gpg4win 1.1 is in any case not anymore under active
development.

... and I found --allow-freeform-uid, so its not stopping me from using gpg
anymore. So! Uncritting.

so I've attached the diff to current
pinentry SVN here. Works for me. Kwin/qt3 from etch for Qt3-version,
Qt-4.4.3 (self-compiled) + kwin/qt3 for Qt4-version.The docs say on some X11 WM's, this flag will have no effect when not also
WX11BypassWM is passed, but the latter robs pinentry of it's title bar and
borders, so I left it out.

We have no way to merge secret keys. Thus fixing this would be very hard.
There are a couple of other problems related to this and we won't fix them either.
You are a provisional user and thus only abale to edit your own entries. We
need to run it this way to avoid trolls closing or commenting bugs. I'll change
your role now.

It appears that gnupg does not prefer those keys based on their age, but rather
that it prefers them because they were loaded into the local keyring first. if
you remove both keys, then re-add them in the opposite order, gpg seems to
prefer a different one... that still doesn't make it any better.
Fixed in svn 5345. Slightly different patch to avoid defining a symbol from the
GNUC name space.

Werner, again see my tests with Kwin (default windows manager of KDE).
I believe that we should solve the issue for very common window managers.
KWin is very common for pinentry-qt3. Maybe we can ask some KDAB folks for help
on this one, should not be that hard I guess.
