For completeness, this fix has been published as part of the regular Gpg4win
releases since 2.1.1-beta1. It is also included in 2.1.1. There is no need to
download the dll directly, just move to the recent Gpg4win version.

We plan to do something similar for the Informsec grant.

That seems to be an old Outlook version without proper MIME support (OL 2000?).
For OL2003 please make sure to install the latest service pack.

commit 9373fd75 fixes this data corruption during encryption and signing.
issue1110 is now used to track the second problems (Outlook crashes).
I found the problem. It is a plain stupid double free bug of an internal fixed
size buffer. Will be fixed soon.

I'll setup a testing enviroment soon again and keep you informed!
I don't quite understand your point here. In any case GpgOL is not abale to
send encrypted mail via Exchange.

after double clicking the txt attachment. Gpgol log file attached.

I believe we have two seperate issues
here, though of course they might be caused by the same defect.
There is also an T1251 (GPGOL creates broken attachments in Outlook 2007)
about creating encrypted messages. I believe we have two seperate issues
here, though of course they might be caused by the same defect.
Resolved after adding info to T1110.

I confirm that critical issue in Win7. Here is my config:
Windows 7 Outlook 2007 + MO SP2 (do not work without SP2 ether) Gpg4win 2.0.3 GnuPG 2.0.14 GpgOL 1.1.1 GPA 0.9.0Message body is decrypted correctly while there's no way to handle
attachment: try "view, open, save as" crashes outlook.

Seems to be duplicated in 1216.

Tested with different mailer of sender:
An OpenPGP encrypted (or encrypted/signed) email sent by OL2007/GpgOL1.1.1 and
Kontact e35 (GNU/Linux).
Same problem for both emails: OL2007 crashes after opening an attachment.
Still the same problem with gpg4win 2.0.2 (aka GpgOL 1.1.1).

There is no RFC. Hal merely posted a notice how PGP implements an Outlook
kludge. OTOH, PGP/MIME is a logn standing standard (rfc3156).

talking about the old 0.9 versions - they are not any longer maintained. Sorry.
Mar 12 2010
gpgol does not use the partioned format - it implements PGP/MIME. If you are
talking about the old 0.9 versions - they are not any longer maintained. Sorry.

There is GpgOL 1.0.1 coming with Gpg4win 2.0.1. Can you give that a try?
Please also state the precise version of Windows and Outlook you are using.
